What does the gift card include?
The gift card will contain a unique code that is valid for one rose plus delivery* from English Roses website. The code is valid for all roses potted in our standard 5.5L containers. There are no restrictions on rose variety.
Roses planted in willow baskets are not included. Baskets and additional gift wrap options can be added, but will incur an extra cost.

How long are the gift cards valid?
The recipient will have 1 year to redeem the gift card, from date of purchase. This means that they can choose their rose at any stage of growth – starting to grow happily in the spring, fully blooming in the summer, or even freshly pruned and ready for planting in the winter.

After a hot, long summer, sadly the rose growing season is coming to an end. Roses will naturally finish flowering and lose their leaves throughout the autumn. This will happen at different rates for different varieties. To support the health of your rose and encourage growth for the next season, many roses will have been pruned back and have had some or all of their leaves removed.
If your rose arrives with no leaves, buds or blooms, please do not worry. Our expert rose care team have already prepared your rose for winter, ensuring a healthy start for 2027.
Rose bushes go through different stages of growth throughout the year. They will look different as they move from their dormant phase in the winter to being in full bloom during the summer. For more information on how a rose will look throughout the year, please see our growth guide.
Our standard container is 5.5L, or there is the option to upgrade to our large willow basket for a patio ready gift! All roses (except bare root) will be securely packaged into our specially designed box, and are delivered via DPD. More information on sizing and delivery can be found in our help guides.
Delivery and Contact
We offer tracked delivery to mainland UK (excluding highlands, islands & Northern Ireland) via DPD. Full tracking is provided on all orders, including updates on estimated delivery time.
Next day delivery is available on orders placed before 12pm midday on weekdays (weekends & 2-day Scotland service excluded). You can also choose your preferred delivery date at checkout, up to 60 days in advance.
Free delivery is available on orders £100+ (2-day Scotland service excluded).
