Eco-Planter Growing Kits
If you’re looking to get your garden a little more co-ordinated, our Eco-Planters are a great start. We love our new Wildflower Growing Kits. As an alternative to roses they make a lovely gift or even as a treat for yourself. It couldn’t be easier to add the peat-free coir to the lovely willow basket, mix in the feed and spread the seed balls on the surface. It’s the simplicity we really like as it takes absolutely no gardening skill at all. Just assemble, step back and await germination. Q. Can I have my growing kits delivered?
English Roses deliver nationally to mainland UK using our delivery partner DPD, which includes full parcel tracking. Next day service is available, as well as a named day service up to 60 days in advance. For more information on our delivery policies, please see here.
Q. I’ve heard wildflowers are tricky to plant.
Creating a wildflower patch in your garden does take a lot or work. However, with our growing kits we have created a super simple product that anyone can use. Simply pop your peat-free coir into the basket, mix in the feed and spread the seedballs on the surface. Step back and wait for germination. If you are still unsure you can read our step-by-step instructions and watch our video here.
Q. What else can I plant in the growing kits?
Of course you don’t have to plant roses in the growing kits – you can use them for all sorts of ornamental plants and shrubs. Naturally we favour roses and our advice focusses on these but feel free to indulge your imagination and explore alternatives. One idea we like is to plant a basket of herbs. Have a look at our herb seedball tin that is easy to plant and includes basil, chives, parsley and dill.
Q. Will my rose be ok in a basket?
Yes, a young rose will be fine for up to 2 years in the basket. By then it may have outgrown it and need planting in a border to accommodate the expanding root base. We would recommend choosing a compact rose rather than a climber. For inspiration have a look at our range of patio roses here.
