Deadhead any roses that don’t produce hips, and finish pruning ramblers if needed. Long, established roses can also benefit from a light trim around 30cm to reduce wind damage over winter. Keep fallen leaves cleared away to help reduce blackspot and other diseases, and use this quieter time to weed, tidy and prepare beds for any new roses you’re planning to plant.
