To keep your rose in the best possible condition, please follow the simple steps below.
Upon Arrival: #
When you have just received a rose, getting it happy and settled is as easy as 1 – 2 – 3! Click each step for more information.

Please unbox your rose on the day of delivery, and remove all packaging from the rose.

Place your rose outside in natural daylight.
Do not keep your rose inside at any point of the year, even in the winter.

Your rose is likely to be thirsty after its journey, so please give it a little water.
Your rose will be fine in its pot for several weeks, just remember to water regularly! If your rose is in a willow basket, it will be happy for up to two years before needing to repot or plant out.

Roses need regular watering to survive.
In the summer this can be up to twice a day, in the winter once a week is sufficient.

So that your rose can access all the nutrients it needs to thrive, we recommend the use of rose feed throughout the year.
Rose feed is available in both granular and liquid forms, and can be added to the soil or sprayed directly on the leaves depending on the product.

If your rose has arrived in a 5.5L container, we’d recommend planting or repotting before the end of the current season.
If your rose has arrived in a willow basket, it will be happy to stay in it for up to two years.

We’d always recommend that roses are unpacked fully from their boxes as soon as possible, as they are outdoor plants that need fresh air and natural daylight to thrive.
All our packaging is designed so that you can open it without damaging it, therefore giving you the choice to put the rose back inside for ease of transport and gifting. Please see our packaging information for more details.

Yes! We try to be as sustainable as possible and don’t use single use plastics.
All the boxing materials and strapping is cardboard and can be recycled with your normal household recycling.
If you’ve received a potted rose, the protective bag around the pot is biodegradable and the pot itself is recyclable.
As always, please check your local household recycling services and restrictions.

No, please do not keep your rose inside at any point of the year. Our roses are fully hardy and need to be outside all year round. Bringing them inside, or even sheltering them in a garden shed over the winter, will disrupt the growing cycle and affect the health of your rose.

Yes, roses are outdoor plants and will be perfectly fine even in bright sunny weather. Make sure you are giving your rose plenty of water, up to twice a day in extreme heat. To reduce any chance of scorching the leaves, water under the canopy, ideally early morning and late evening.
If any leaves/blooms do get a little crispy – don’t panic! Simply remove them, and the rose will re-grow. As long as you are watering your rose sufficiently it will still be healthy.
